Pre-Register your Credit Card

Save time at check-in and pre-register your credit card now! Simply check off the box below, click Next and submit your information. Whether you've already purchased your tickets or are attending as someone's guest you can make check-in quick and easy by registering your card now.

I authorize Greater Giving Labs to use the credit card entered on the submission page at event Event Name. Once the transaction has completed successfully, a confirmation receipt will be sent to the email address entered.

Use #1: Pre-Registering Cards for an Event

You can encourage your attendees - especially those who will be guests of sponsors or table hosts - to pre-register their credit card prior to the event. This is especially useful for in person events that are encouraging social distancing because it means that they don't have to hand over their credit card at check in to be swiped.

Use #2: Register a Card to Pay an Invoice

If not all your guests provided a credit card prior to the event or if you have guests that would like to split the payment between cards or use a different card, you can encourage them to register their card through a page like this. You will then import that card registration and match it to their existing supporter record so that you can charge the card for their outstanding balance.

Credit Card Registration Page

You can set up a Credit Card Registration Page using a Registration, Sales, and Cash Donation type page with only the option to save a credit card for use at the event enabled. All other options like tickets and donations are disabled.

Tips and Tricks

If you only want to share the page with certain people, make the page "hidden" by setting the Page Visibility to "Show page on website but don't show in navigation" so that it's only accessible via direct URL and create a friendly URL.

After a supporter registers a credit card it will appear in Import Online Purchases & Registrations where you can match it to an existing supporter record.

Add a link to a credit card registration page to your post-event receipts before contacting those with outstanding balances to encourage people to provide a card to pay an open invoice.
